Word of the Day Challenge – Buffet

Back to the cookery subject again… I just love buffets, but the old-fashioned buffets, sausage rolls, pork pies, cocktail sausages, sandwiches (ham, cheese along with egg and mayo), crisps, nibbles, and not forgetting the cheese and pineapple sticks… which are stuck into half a grapefruit covered in tin foil.

And not forgetting the vol-au-vents. Mostly stuffed with chicken and white wine.

Good old plain cooking… that’s me. None of the new fandangoed buffet’s you see, at some events.

There is a long-standing joke, amongst my friends! If they are doing an event…. they’ll always leave the sausage rolls to me. Over the years I’ve learnt. Buy frozen from Tesco and cook in the oven and even I can’t ruin them. Mind you, on saying that, the odd one does get welded to the tray… oh, damn they’ll just have to eaten to destroy the evidence of my welding skills. Who’s going to miss a couple of cocktail sausage rolls out of a hundred! ๐Ÿ˜€ ๐Ÿ˜€ ๐Ÿ˜€

However, my secret is out… I eat the not so good ones… and now my mates will know that I can’t even be trusted to deliver fully on the sausage rolls. ๐Ÿ˜€ ๐Ÿ˜€ ๐Ÿ˜€ ๐Ÿ˜€
